Most of the boys seem to be arriving to training with Lucozade, Powerade or some kind of sports drink. After doing lots of nutrition courses as part of various sports courses we have done there is very little evidence to support that these drinks do In Fact enhance sport performance.
What we do know.
They are full of Sugar
Contain hundreds of calories
Cost a lot of money.
We advise our boys bring nothing but water with them to trainings and match days. Let’s try and set an example by banning these rubbish drinks! Water with juice in is fine as I know some kids are fussy but water is our preferred choice.
